After suffering a quite serious accident along the Great Central Road in the deserts of Western Australia and being on the end of amazing generosity from the nearest community of Laverton it's time to head back.
The Red Dust Ride will take place in April 2017 and is an opportunity for me and fellow riders to thank and enjoy the hospitality of the community of Laverton in the Western Australian goldfields.

Leaving Laverton (suburb of Melbourne), Victoria on April 14, 2017 and after riding over 3,400km we'll reach Laverton, WA on April 22, 2017. A highlight of the Red Dust Ride will be taking on the Nullarbor Plain, one of the flattest and straightest stretches of road anywhere on the world - it's surprisingly one of the most interesting places on earth - if you know where to look.
For those wanting a greater challenge there's the option of returning home via the Great Central Road, one of the most remote cross contintental roads, one that provides an opportunity to see one of Australia's most iconic landmarks from an angle that many people don't see.
This is an opportunity to visit some of Australia's iconic sites in a way that many won't. A number of ride options will cater for all levels of adventure.
The main route will be 100% bitumen to Laverton so will cater for all bikes and all rider capabilities. Full support is available for all riders. There are options to take to the dirt, both well maintained roads and outback tracks are available for those wanting a challenge.
The route will take in many of outback Australia's iconic landmarks including the Lake Ballard sculptures at Menzies, the super pit at Kalgoorlie, and the Nullarbord roadhouses.
This is definetly a ride not to be missed culminating in a few nights at one of the worlds most remote towns, enjoying the culture and experiences of the Australian outback.
